Advances in neuroscience have sparked an increased demand for personalised and holistic health care treatments incorporating new knowledge about the brain and body. Mitzi Hollander and Dr Inette Taylor will be presenting a BCIA accredited course in October with the aim of equipping professionals with the knowledge needed to fully integrate neurofeedback into clinical practice using the EEGer clinical neurofeedback system.
Neurofeedback in Clinical Practice will be presented from 20-23 October 2022.
Theoretical syllabus includes:
* Introduction to neurofeedback.
* Basic Neurophysiology and Neuroanatomy.
* Protocol selection - exploring the principles of QEEG- based neurofeedback and how to integrate it with the arousal model as part of client assessment.
* Treatment protocol and implementation.

Practical syllabus includes:
*Learn how to operate hardware and software of the EEGer system.
*Introduction and application of the 10/20 system.
*How to make a protocol decision from the QEEG results and your arousal symptoms to maximize response.
*Understanding your EEG data on the EEGer system and how to use it in protocol decisions.
Accreditations: 30 CPD points; 2 Ethical points
The total cost of the course is R12 000.00 with a 50% deposit required on registration. If you are attending the course as a refresher, you may be eligible for a discount.
